The company has established a joint R&D and production partnership with Celys to pioneer the next generation of sustainable fibres. This collaboration aims to develop and commercialize the world’s first colour-dyed staple fibres with certified Celys compostable and degradable performance. By combining Seeker’s technical leadership in coloured spinning with Celys’ breakthrough biodegradable polyester innovation, the partnership seeks to set a new industry benchmark, delivering both environmental responsibility and high-performance textile solutions for global apparel and fashion markets.

De Bondt B.V., a global leader in high-quality knitting yarns, has partnered with CELYS, a pioneering innovator in sustainable textile solutions, to introduce KINDSOME. This ground breaking baby yarn blends 60% premium Merino wool with 40% CELYS compostable polyester. By integrating CELYS compostable polyester De Bondt reinforces its dedication to advancing high-performance, sustainable materials in the craft industry.

Macquarie University, established in 1964 in Sydney, is a globally recognized research institution, renowned for innovation, interdisciplinary collaboration, and industry partnerships, advancing knowledge in sustainability, business, health, and technology. Celys and Macquarie University are partnered in an R&D project, aiming at developing the best standard and practise of Enzymetical Recycling Tehnology, which is a biological recycling method in textile, besides physical recycle and chemical recycle methods.
